Our doors are closing but we are open for orders and delivery

10th May 2020

Dear Customers,

Following the government announcement this evening we would like to update you on our current business operations.

Despite some social distancing restrictions being lifted, Mostly Books will not be opening to the public in May. We are currently working on modifications to the shop that will make the space safer for customers to eventually visit, and for staff to operate in while social distancing measures continue into the weeks and months ahead.

We continue to take orders via the website, email, phone and social media. The existing stock in our shop is available for purchase on our website, and is regularly updated.

While our supply chains are still under a lot of pressure sourcing and supplying books to us, we are starting to see some improvement with delivery turnaround times beginning to reduce. This means that orders should be fulfilled more quickly than they have been over the last six weeks.

Customer orders will be dealt with on a case by case basis, and we appreciate your support and patience during these challenging times.

The team will arrange postal delivery for a flat fee (£3.10 unless it is a large order) and orders to addresses within five miles of the shop will continue to be hand-delivered, free of charge.

The website accepts credit/debit card and PayPal payments and we are happy to take card payments over the phone, please ask a member of the team for details.

We will continue to stay in touch via our usual channels (website and social media) and hope to see you back in the shop as soon as we feel it is safe to re-open for our booksellers and customers.

Thank you for your continued support. We appreciate it a great deal.
Sarah and the Mostly Books team
